Pearl Project Investments was launched in November 2012. Pearl is a privately owned property investment and development company focused on the delivery of residential and commercial schemes across the UK. With a focus on Senior Living, Affordable Homes, PRS and Student Living. Pearl manages and delivers the entire development process including the sourcing, funding and securing of target sites and opportunities; design and planning; construction, procurement and management; snagging, reporting and overseeing remediation; and handover of property ready for staging, selling or renting. We work closely with our professional teams and other key stakeholders.

Student Living
Property investment in Student Living benefits from the fact that there is a large and growing student population. Universities cannot keep pace with demand for accommodation and net yields are often higher than traditional BTL gross yields.

Aftab is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and over fifteen years ago moved into project finance, investment and development focussed Real Estate. Having been involved in a number of successful developments he was responsible for placing over £50m in equity and delivering assets valued in excess of £750m. Having delivered major projects and operational assets across various sectors, the time was right to establish Pearl. The vision is to deliver affordable and sustainable buildings without compromising on quality and profitability. In addition he holds a position as a Non-Executive Director, where he is able to share his experience and knowledge.
Alec has significant experience in Real Estate and has been working in the sector for over forty years. His expertise is in unlocking challenging sites and he has secured planning on many Student living developments from Chester to Nottingham. With knowledge across sectors, not only has he developed pre-lets he has forward funded developments with organisations such as Legal & General and Land Securities. Having run his own property company which he sold, he has held numerous senior positions and is recognised and well respected in the market.
Monica has over twenty years’ experience in Sales and marketing. She worked in the property sector, acting for a number of HNWI and corporate clients. Her knowledge of the power of social media has been priceless with integrating how Pearl uses technology within and to market its developments. She has her own blog and is using her expertise to keep Pearl connected to the marketplace. Monica also manages our Social Responsibility Charter and our sustainability credentials.
